From: Kuantan Announcement Sent: Thursday, December 05, 2013 3:47 PM Subject: Flood Relief Centre for IIUM Staff Dear All IIUM Staff and Students Please be informed that IIUM Kuantan is in the midst of establishing IIUM Kuantan Relief Centre to help flood victims especially IIUM staff who have been effected by flood. The centre for the staff would be ready by this Saturday/7th Dec, 2013. Foods would be provided to the victims throughout their stay at the centre. The staff need to register their names with Sis. Haryati Sahat at 019-9572626/09570 4086 or email sharyati@iium.edu.my. Any donation in term of monetary and items could be forwarded to OCD Kuantan as follows: 1. Money could be submitted to Finance Department or banked in to IIUM KUANTAN, Acc no: 0601002738719, BMMB. Please inform Bro Salehuddin at Finance Department, OCD, IIUM Kuantan or contact him at 0136166757/095704056 or email salehuddin@iium.edu.my upon completing the transaction. The official receipt for tax exemption would be preapared for the donor. 2. All donated items ( blanket, totoo, prayer cloth and mat, diaper, sanitary pad, wearable old cloth, foods,drinking water, first aid kits etc) could be sent to classroom 5 OSC Building, OCD for IIUM Kuantan Campus and to Bro. We had a meeting with AMAD and CPS separately.
Alhamdulillah, we are gong to start our PG programmes listed below this coming semester (Sem 2, 2013-2014).
These programmes will be offered by Research Mode. 
There are minimum taught courses required as graduation requirement.

1) MSc (Halal Industry Science)
2) MA (Halal Industry Managment)
3) PhD (Halal Industry)

The normal standard entry requirements apply.
(For MSc - Halal Industry Science: any recognized science, engineering, technology and health related bachelor degree)
(For MA - Halal Industry Management: any recognized bachelor degree, either from science or non-science discipline)

Kindly encourage potential candidates to apply.

ISPE Student Chapter

Assalamualaikum wr. wb. Alhamdulillah, with His blessings, we had organised the first meeting at the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy to form the ISPE Student Chapter on the 26th of December 2012. Despite the hectic schedule for our postgraduates and what with our undergraduates studying for the final exam, we had a reasonably good participation. THIRTY came!!! Madam Siti Halimah Bux was kind enough to grace the event. Her presence then and in future is instrumental.
